About Us
A lifelong reader who fell in love with books and storytelling thanks to Terry Pratchett's incredible Reaper Man, I have spent the greater part of my life involved in the art of storytelling.
From devouring the works of some of our greatest modern authors to hunting through stores to get my hands on the rare reprints of screenplays, I have always treasured the way we—personally and as a society—communicate. My love of stories and the push of COVID-19 led me to publish my first work on Royal Road merely for fun.
To my surprise, I discovered that not only did I like the process of crafting my own stories, but other people also enjoyed them. Soon, I was self-publishing my works.
Wow, what a learning process that was.
It turns out that writing the book is only the very start, and I had so much further to go…Editing, proofreading, typesetting, and cover design, there is just so much to learn, and I will be the first to admit that I made a huge mistake in not getting professional help at the beginning.
Time, experience, and reader feedback are all great teachers. As I went through the process a second time, I got better.
By the time I was publishing my eighth book, I was sure I had it down to an art…Yet, there is always more to learn, and so I decided in the wake of my wife’s death to take a Diploma course in Editing and Proofreading, which I passed with a Distinction.
